How to play
- Read the Prompt: Start by reading the situation at the top of the card (in blue). For example, "You are late for school. Explain to your teacher what happened."
- Use Keywords: Try to use the keywords listed on the card in your response.
- Extra Challenge: For a more advanced practice, include the challenge words in your response.
- Make It a Game: To add some fun, assign points to keywords (+1), challenge words (+3), and a bonus (+2) for using all of both! Use the timer to prepare or to improvise a scene quickly.
Example Situation Response:
The situation is... "You are late for school. Explain to your teacher what happened."
"I missed my usual bus today, and because of that, I had to take a later one. Unfortunately, there was heavy traffic on the way. I apologize for the delayed arrival. There was also an unexpected detour because a rabbit was running across the road. I understand this is no excuse for being late, but I wanted to explain the situation."

Language
Choose your preferred language to practice from English, Español (Spanish), or Français (French). You can also select "All Languages" to mix things up and practice in all three languages during your session.
Card Count
Adjust the slider to select the number of cards (per team) you want to use during the session. The range is from 1 to 5 cards. If you select 2 cards and 2 teams, you will have 4 cards total.Timer
Choose a time limit (per card). The available options are 2:00 minutes, 1:30 minutes, or 1:00 minute, setting the pace for a relaxed or quick-paced session. If you choose 2 minutes and 5 cards that's 10 minutes total per team.Teams
Decide how many teams or players will be participating. You can choose between 1 and 4 teams/players, which can add a competitive edge to your practice session.Age Filter
This setting helps you to tailor the content according to different age groups. The categories are as follows:- 6-10 years old Content suitable for children up to 10 years old.
- 11-15 years old Material designed for teenagers between 11 and 15 years old.
- 16-18 years old Content for young adults aged between 16 and 18 years.
- 19+ years old Material geared towards adults who are 19 years and older.
Our age filter is designed to help you find IMPROV.e cards that are more aligned with the interests and experiences of different age groups, not to filter out inappropriate content. All our cards are created with a universal appropriateness in mind.
For instance, younger users might encounter scenarios more related to school settings, while older users might see cards associated with workplace environments.
However, the suitability of a card can vary based on personal preferences and judgment. We encourage you to select content that best suits your comfort and expectations.
